AstroMaster La Palma 2014

AstroMaster La Palma 2014

Astromaster 2013 was a huge success and so much fun. In cooperation with AstroLaPalma we will continue this great international event. The next AstroMaster workshop will happen May 20-27, 2014 again on La Palma, Canary Islands – the stargazers and astrophotographers paradise! Also: now with Gunther Wegner of LRTimelapse.com – welcome to the team Gunther!

At last year’s inaugural AM workshop the group was truly international: several clients from the US, Spain, Austria, Italy, Belgium, Japan, Portugal, France attended! There are good direct flights from Spain, Germany, and Netherlands to La Palma, and from many more countries to the neighboring Island of Tenerife, from where hopping to La Palma via Binter Canarias is actually no problem.

The 5-day AstroMaster workshop includes middle to advanced lessons and master classes on all aspects of Earth & Sky photography (landscape astrophotography) as well as timelapse imaging and processing. The Workshop includes four night imaging sessions, a visit to the observatory on the top of the Island’s giant erosion caldera, and a day off for site seeing, organized by AstroLaPalma and The World at Night (TWAN) in cooperation with the Island’s tourism organization and government.

Here is
a hilarious, humourous review of one of AstroMaster 2013 Members, Daniel Lowe, worth reading
