What a great adventure! Back from Perseids imaging!
Been out three afternoons and nights in a row trying to catch some Perseids images.
Perseids? Meteor Shower?
Says Wiki: The Perseids /ˈpɜrsiːɨdz/ are a prolific meteor shower associated with the comet Swift-Tuttle. The Perseids are so-called because the point from which they appear to come, called the radiant, lies in the constellation Perseus. The name derives in part from the word Perseides (Περσείδες), a term found in Greek mythology referring to the sons of Perseus.
The last night of my imaging sessions, provided Hobbit like motives, with Sauron-like thunderstorms moving along Mordor, Middle-Earth. At least it felt like that.
And I also have never moved that fast from a location getting shelter against lightning struggling with three cameras. I have to admid, I was catched by surprise by rapidly changing winds and a hill taking away some sight to the north from where a new thunderstorm had approached.
